Born and raised in California's Central Valley, San's passion for storytelling and communications foreshadows his journey to becoming a published author and award-winning communications professional. San earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from California State University, Sacramento, graduating Cum Laude and ultimately receiving the PRSSA 2024 Gold Key Award—the highest honor bestowed upon a public relations student.
San's career has taken him across the communications landscape, from national PR strategies for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to comprehensive campaigns for companies at EMC Communications and FINN Partners, securing earned media coverage across tier-1 outlets including The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal. Most notably, at 23, San was appointed to serve as Senior Counsel on the PRSA Board of Directors, providing strategic guidance to an association of over 30,000 communications professionals. This followed his tenure as National President of the Public Relations Student Society of America (2023-2024), during which he led more than 6,000 student members across 300+ chapters nationwide.
A published author of two books ("Straight from the Heart" and "Strength in Color"), San is passionate about sharing his experiences and insights as a guest lecturer at universities across the nation, inspiring the next generation of communications professionals.
