Uyen Ngo is a senior at Purdue University, double majoring in Public Relations and Sales Management. She currently serves as the Vice President of Belonging, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (BEDI) for PRSSA (2024-2025), where she advocates for diverse voices and works to foster an inclusive environment within the public relations industry. As an international student from Vietnam, Uyen’s passion for DEI is rooted in her own experiences navigating cultural differences and championing representation.

Since joining PRSSA in 2021, Uyen has actively contributed to DEI initiatives. She previously served on PRSSA’s PRoud Council, a national DEI subcommittee, where she worked to create welcoming spaces for members of all backgrounds. As VP of BEDI, she is dedicated to strengthening connections among PRSSA Chapters nationwide and globally, ensuring that all members feel seen, valued, and empowered.

Beyond PRSSA, Uyen is an account executive for two student-run PR firms, where she leads strategic campaigns that create a positive impact in Indiana’s local communities. She also worked as a production staff member for Life on the Wabash, Purdue’s first lifestyle show on NBC News, contributing to storytelling that highlights student experiences and campus culture. In 2021, she founded a nonprofit organization to improve healthcare and education access for children and patients in Vietnam, further demonstrating her commitment to social change.

Uyen’s passion for diversity and advocacy extends to her participation in a PR campaign competition with the Abdelkader Project, a nonprofit promoting interfaith understanding, and her selection for the Diversity Fellowship by FINN Partners, a global communications firm dedicated to advancing DEI.

Through her leadership and initiatives, Uyen continues to amplify underrepresented voices, foster inclusivity, and drive meaningful change within the PR industry and beyond.
