Looking Back on History

When it comes to navigating through life, Glenn Dano is quick to realize that everything relates to history. In his final lap of graduate school, Glenn comes on the podcast to speak about his untraditional path towards focusing on history education and why it is important to learn history.

Just a friend

Hi, my name is Glenn Dano. I’m a current graduate student in Old Dominion University’s history program, and I am currently on pace to complete my Masters Degree in the Fall 2023 semester. My current studies revolve around the Civil War, focusing on the Post-war period in the American South. I am currently aiming my research towards studying the Freedmen’s Bureau, and the ways in which they interacted with the newly freed Black community. In my free time, I like to play competitive card games, Dungeons and Dragons, and I dabble in some amateur Gundam modeling. My goal after graduation is to enter secondary education, and to teach History at the High School level.
